Baby Driver ¬ Trailer

Fans of director Edgar Wright can rejoice because he’s back with a new movie. It’s called Baby Driver and if you know Wright’s work you’ll immediately recognize some of the tropes in the trailer.

Most notably the fast cutting film editing technique present in much of Wright’s movie making. Also present, and a central to the film, is music.

In the Baby Driver music is central to the plot, which features a getaway driver called Baby (played by Ansel Elgort) who has tinnitus. So he listens to music through earphones while driving.

Music soundtracks his getaways and choreographs the action sequences. Wright’s work often uses music to great effect, so it’ll be interesting to see how he uses it to raise tension in a heist movie.
