Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He makes it his mission to eliminate them.
Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.
The film is a cross between D.W. Griffith’s Abraham Lincoln and F. W. Murnau’s Nosferatu. Walker stars as the nation’s 16th president. It recasts Lincoln’s life as one spent both leading the country through the Civil War and fighting hordes of the undead, his weapon of choice being an ax.
Additional cast include Jimmi Simpson, Anthony Mackie, Robin McLeavy, Alan Tudyk, and Marton Csokas.
